Wow… Ten years.
An entire decade
Almost a third of my life.
That’s how long I’ve spent with Isaac by my side.
Ten years ago (on Friday) Isaac asked me to be his girlfriend in the front yard of my parent’s home. We were 17 years old, seniors in high school, and had no idea what the future held for us. When I giddly said “YES” and we made it FBO, little did I know how much sweeter life was going to be with Isaac to share it with.
In the past ten years we have experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. There have been days full of laughter, celebration and endless love, as well as moments when our hearts hurt from the pain of the world. We have gone on countless road trips, travelled across the country, moved more times than I can count, bought a house, and welcomed the two sweetest babies into the world.
I’ve been able to watch an awkward teenager grow into the most amazing, kindhearted, sacrificial and loving husband and father. I have fallen more and more in love with him with each passing day, and honestly can’t imagine life without him.
Isaac is my best friend. My favorite card partner. My running buddy (if we ever get to running again). My biggest cheerleader. And forever my baby daddy.
I had no idea that all those years ago I said yes to a lifetime with him. But y’all… I am so glad I did.
Thank you for the best ten years of my life, Isaac. And here’s to many many many more. I love you to the moon and back!
