HEY THERE!
A few weeks ago, some of our close friends told us about this small street taco shop in Southlake that we needed to try. They raved about the corn tortillas, meat choices and friendliness of the staff. So naturally, on Saturday when Isaac and I realized we didn’t have anything in our apartment for lunch, we decided to check out Frezko Taco Spot for ourselves. And let’s just say it lived up to their hype- we had some of the best tacos I’ve ever had before!
The food was delicious. I can’t even begin to describe it, but the meat was seasoned perfectly, it melted in your mouth, the corn tortillas were actually good (and that’s coming from someone who normally hates corn tortillas) and the complimentary bean soup they brought out was quite tasty.
An order of tacos comes with four tacos and your choice of two meats, so Isaac and I decided to get all four meats so we could try them out. We had chicken, barbacoa, carnitas and carne asada. We both put cheese (which was some freshly shredded Monterey jack) and grilled onions on our tacos, and Isaac added grilled peppers to his (which are actually grilled jalapeños that were a little too spicy for me). They were so so good.
At Frezko’s they also serve burritos, salads, papas asadas and quesadillas, so there are many more things we can choose from the next time we go… Or we’ll just get the tacos again because they were just that yummy.
And what I love most about Frezko is…
At Frezko Taco Spot we get up each and every day to prepare the freshest ingredients we can. From the daily selection of the fresh locally sourced vegetables to the premium choice of our meats bought locally as well. We want people to feel good about the food and walk away with the Frezko satisfaction!

The restaurant was a little tricky to find (it didn’t help that our phone’s GPS decided to go a little crazy right before we got there), but it was worth a little bit of confusion. When we pulled up, I got so excited, because they have a little outdoor area where you can eat that is strung with lights. And if you know me, you know I’m a sucker for those things! I want to come back during the summer for dinner… I think it’d be a lot of fun to eat outdoors under the lights.
Inside was small, but there was an upstairs where you could eat. We decided to eat outside since it was such a pretty day, and after ordering we sat down and they brought all the food to us. The staff was friendly, and they seemed to enjoy what they do, which I love seeing in a restaurant.
I really enjoyed our trip to Frezko Taco Spot, and I can’t wait to go back. I’ve been dreaming about those carnitas tacos we ate. If you live in the Southlake/Grapevine/Euless area, this is a restaurant you need to check out!
And bonus, if you live in the Dallas area, they also have a food truck and go to the Truck Yard quite often. We’re actually going there this Friday to celebrate my birthday and I hope to see them there. I may just have to get some more tacos to fill my craving…
