Homemade Strawberry Preserves


  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and roughly chopped
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp water


  1. In a medium nonstick saucepan, heat the strawberries, sugar and water on medium high until it reaches a rolling boil. Stir every minute.
  2. Lower the heat to medium low and cook until a thick sauce has formed. Stir the mixture every few minutes to make sure it’s not sticking to the bottom and to prevent burning.
  3. Transfer to a bowl or glass container to cool completely. Cover and refrigerate for up to a week.
