Happy Monday Y’all!!
I have been feeling under the weather these past few days… What I thought was just some allergies has turned into a cold, leaving me sniffling and headachey at all hours of the day! This morning when I woke up, a glass of fresh orange juice sounded so delicious! And the boost of vitamin C wouldn’t hurt either, right?!
For Christmas I got a juicer, and have really enjoyed creating delicious juices (and using the pulp for other recipes that I’ll share later!) with fruits I have found around the house. Today I made a trip to Brookshires and picked up a bag of oranges, some grapefruits and ginger root to go along with some cuties and kiwi I already had.
The result… a DELICIOUS, fresh glass of cold-fighting orange and grapefruit juice! Better than anything you could get at the store! It wasn’t too tart, which was perfect for me since I have never really enjoyed sore things, and the refreshing cool of the juice felt nice on my sour throat. Now I need to find a recipe for the pulp!

Orange and Grapefruit Boost Juice
5 medium oranges
1 large grapefruit
2 cuties
1 kiwi
1/2 inch square peeled ginger root
Peel and slice the fruit to fit in the juicer. Juice it all together and enjoy over ice!
XOXO
