HEY THERE!
If there was one food out there that I couldn’t live without, it would be chocolate. I’ve tried giving it up for even just a week, but I just can’t (aka, I have a problem). I eat it all the time… After lunch, when I’m bored, in my pancakes, and my favorite thing lately: chocolate “shots” (which is really just getting a palm full of mini chocolate chips and tossing all of them into your mouth at one time). I remember buying a pack of M&Ms every day in middle school that I would eat throughout the afternoon during class, which was probably not the best choice I could have made. And I know my family can attest that if something has chocolate in it, I’ll eat it, no questions asked. I am a chocoholic and I’m proud of it!
However, sometimes I know that I need to cut back on the chocolate so I look for healthier alternatives to satisfy my chocolate-tooth. That’s why I LOVE chocolate Shakeology! It is rich and chocolate-y and it’s packed full of nutrients, vitamins, proteins and minerals, making it the most delicious superfood-packed protein supplement ever. I usually just have it mixed with some almond milk or coconut water, but the other day I was craving some chocolate ice cream and I decided to make a chocolate smoothie bowl instead. It was just as satisfying as ice cream would have been, and there was no guilt involved- my favorite way to eat food!
Have you ever tried Shakeology? If not, what are your favorite protein powders to use?
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2-1 cup almond milk
1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
Toppings:
1 Tbsp mini chocolate chips
2 Tbsp shredded unsweetened coconut
1 Tbsp chia seeds
Blend all of the ingredients together until smooth. Add more almond milk as needed to have a thick, but smooth consistency. Top with the chocolate chips, coconut and chia seeds!
Servings: 2
2 purple, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 spoon
