HEY THERE!
I have to tell myself “it’s the home stretch. You’re almost there” every morning when I get out of bed. I knew these next few weeks would be the hardest of the pregnancy, and sure enough, they are. I’ve sworn off any more summer pregnancies (ha! let’s see how that goes…) because this Texas heat is killer y’all! Between that and the typical end of pregnancy aches, pains and overall hugeness, I am so ready to meet our baby girl. I keep looking at newborn pictures of James and they have given me the WORST baby fever! I can’t wait to finally meet June, kiss her little cheeks, and soak in those newborn snuggles.
Her nursery is sloooowly coming together, and I can’t wait for everything to be in place so I can share some pictures of it! I’ve loved getting to embrace all the florals and girly things in her room. :) And James has enjoyed exploring the nursery, pulling books off the shelves and climbing into the carseat. He’s in for a fun ride when she gets here!!
How far along?
36 weeks and 4 days
How big is June?
June is about 19 inches – the size of a ripe papaya!
Must-have items
Nothing new, really!
Cravings
Still no cravings.
Symptoms
Between the belly stretching, hips widening, and all the other fun “prepping for labor stuff” I’m pretty sore. Thankfully the stretches at Bar Method, regular chiropractic adjustments and Spinning Babies exercises have helped with some of the aches. I feel June moving around all the time, and she loves poking me with all her little extremities. I have increased pelvic pressure and pain, and feel farther along in my pregnancy than I really am. Thankfully Isaac helps out a ton with James so when I need to rest in the evenings I can. I am SO blessed to have such an amazing husband!
Exercise
I’m doing Bar Method about 3-4 times a week and trying to walk on the days I don’t workout. I know I need to walk more, but I feel so fatigued and drained that the motivation is sorely lacking.
High moment of the month
We had a driveway baby shower for June a couple of weeks ago and it was so much fun! I saw so many people I hadn’t talked to since the quarantine/social distancing started, and it was exciting to see all the goodies everyone got for her. We have the best friends and family!
Another high moment was when we went blueberry picking at a local farm for Father’s Day. It was probably the last big outing we’ll go on as a family of three and I soaked in every minute of it. I love my boys!
