HEY THERE!
I’m VERY late sharing this bumpdate because life has been so crazy lately! I feel like most days I don’t stop going from the minute I wake up to when I crash in bed at night (besides my much needed daily nap). Between taking care of two kids, working two jobs and being a wife, there’s just so much to do all day long. I love it, because it helps time go by faster, but goodness my body is ready for some rest!
Also it’s hard to believe that we are getting so close to my due date. With every week that passes it gets more and more real that we will soon be welcoming another little one to the family. I’m so excited to meet his sweet baby, and the kids are definitely looking forward to all the snuggles. I’ve been making clothes for the baby and James loves holding them up and giggling over how “tiny” they are. It’s adorable!
How far along?
I was 33 weeks when I wrote this, but now I’m 34 weeks and 4 days. Oops!
How big is the baby?
The baby is about the size of a squash, napa cabbage or cantaloupe.
Must-have items
I’m officially drinking NORA tea again, which is definitely not my favorite thing about this point of pregnancies. I drink it daily because I know how good it is for me, but man it’s a struggle! The compression socks have made their debut again, since my feet have been feeling more swollen at the end of the day lately. I know part of that is the pregnancy and part is because it’s getting so hot here already! Thankfully the swelling is very minimal. I’m still taking regular epsom salt and baking soda baths to help with aches and pains, which definitely helps!
Cravings
Nothing really!
Symptoms
I’m still feeling pretty good, but my body is starting to slow down a lot. I waddle more, have more round ligament pain (but thankfully still nothing crazy), insomnia, Braxton Hicks, leg cramps and more moodiness. Basically your typical 3rd trimester symptoms! Overall I’m still enjoying the pregnancy, and am trying to soak it all in, because I know I’ll miss this once the baby is here.
Exercise
Still sporadic. But I’m trying! I’ve been so busy with work that it’s hard to find a balance and the energy to workout. James and June for sure keep me moving, though! Now that they are out of school I’m trying to go on walks more, but it’s still hard.
High moment of the month
We are officially a mini van family! As much as I miss our old car, I am SO excited about having a van. It’s so roomy and absolutely perfect for a growing family. I never thought I’d be the person to get excited about this, but here I am convincing all my friends they need to get one too.
This month we also celebrated both mine and Isaac’s birthdays and Mother’s Day!
Here’s to hopefully only ONE more bumpdate this pregnancy. OMGGGG.
