HEY THERE!
My oh my, how crazy busy the past few weeks have been! With fall in full swing there have been so many photoshoots and things to do with the family, and I feel like we’ve just been in constant “go” mode. Which is why I am JUST now writing my 20 week bumpdate at 22 weeks along. Oh well.
On the bright side, even though we have been going non stop, it’s also been such a fun time with everyone. I absolutely love this time of the year, and it’s been extra sweet sharing so many memories with my little crew. This was the first time in five years that I actually took off some Saturdays in October to do stuff with the family (like the State Fair and Isaac’s family day at work), and it’s been so fun going to pumpkin patches with the kids, taking SO many pictures, and just enjoying life.
Best of all, the baby is doing well, and I feel their movements constantly. James and June have both felt the baby kick, and I love watching them get so excited about this sweet little one. The other day James hugged my belly and said “Mom, I am going to love this baby sooooo much”. I may have teared up a bit when he said that.
All in all, I am just so thankful that this second trimester has come with few pregnancy symptoms, renewed energy and the ability to be present with the family. What a joy and a gift from the Lord!
How far along?
I’m 22 weeks and 2 days – oops
How big is the baby?
We took this picture at 21 weeks, where the baby was the size of a baseball hat!
Must-have items
Nothing really, besides my Earthley Good Night lotion and a comfy pregnancy pillow.
Cravings
Still no cravings
Symptoms
I am so thankful that my insomnia seems to have lessened, and even though I still have the occasional sleepless night, it’s nothing like during the first trimester! Overall I still forget I am pregnant, till the baby kicks, I look in the mirror or I wonder why I’m SO tired at the end of the day haha.
Exercise
This month it has been a little harder to exercise as much as I’ve wanted, because we’re either going from the time the kids wake up or I’m just too worn out and exhausted to do anything. With cooler weather in the forecast, I plan on picking up walking again and being more intentional about nutrition and exercise. I know I feel SO much better when I do!
High moment of the month
We had our anatomy scan this month, and the baby looks absolutely perfect! I am so thankful, and it was fun getting to see the baby again. It makes it even more real that in just a few short months we’ll be welcoming them to the family.
