HEY THERE!
I don’t know about you, but my hair takes a huge hit during the winter. The air is dry and my hair gets so static-y and frizzy. Add in my oily roots, and I look (and feel) like a hot mess most of the time. For the majority of the year I am able to get by with washing my hair only 3-4 times a week, using dry shampoo on the days I don’t wash my hair, but that’s not as easy to do in the winter. After just a day, my hair is hard to work with, and because of all the products I put in it to make my curls stay (the winter air really is killer!), it feels gross and sticky. I decided this was just going to be the new norm until I tried out the L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay series. It was a total game changer, y’all!
When the Influenster VoxBox arrived at my house, I was excited. This looked like the perfect fit for my hair problems, and I was ready to give the products a try. After reading the card that came with the box, it seemed simple enough, and I dove right in.
The clay mask reminded me a lot of the face masks I’ve used in the past. But, instead of smothering it all over my face, I applied it very generously to my roots. It was a little difficult, since I couldn’t tell what was happening at the back of my head, but I got it done! I just grabbed globs of it and massaged over my scalp making sure I got it everywhere. This clay mask is the secret ingredient I have been needing. It absorbed the oils and impurities in my hair, and was key to keeping my roots from getting so oily the next day. I let it sit for 5 minutes before hopping in the shower.
I used this shampoo just like my regular stuff. I made sure to completely rinse out the mask, then washed my hair from root to tip with the rebalancing shampoo. It lathered beautifully, and I loved the smell! The shampoo purifies the roots and hydrates the ends.
Since my roots get oily, I never apply conditioner to my roots. I just focused on my ends (going about halfway up my hair), and let it sit for about 3 minutes. The conditioner is built to hydrate and revive my dry ends without weighing it down. It left my hair feeling soft and smelling amazing!
Y’all, this hair care series is so great! I seriously felt like I had just left the hair salon. My hair was soft and bouncy, my roots felt great, and I was happy happy happy. One of the complaints I read before trying them out was that the smell was overpowering. However, I actually loved the fresh floral scent that followed me the rest of the day. My ends were hydrated, and I didn’t have to worry about static-y hair or oily roots for a good 48 hours.
Hellooo new favorite hair care products!
If you, too, suffer from oily roots and dry ends, then I highly recommend these products. They are affordable, and you can find them at most of your local drugstores or grocery chains.
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Your hair looks awesome! We have very similair hair types so I will definitely have to give this a go, because I can totally feel the effects of winter on my hair. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Amber! Let me know if you try it out. It’s a total game changer!
I have been in love with Loreal’s Total Repair series for months – my normally fine, thin hair has never felt so thick and healthy, and it has never grown so fast. That said, I still suffer from oily roots. Knowing how great Loreal’s hair products are, I just might have to give these a try when I run out of Total Repair. Thanks for sharing!

Great review! I have been looking to change my air products for the winter because I have the same hair issues. Next time I’m at the store I’ll have to check out the L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay series
