HEY THERE!
I looked at the date today and was a little shocked to realize that tomorrow June turns 8 months old. Holy moly! And of course I am just now getting to the seven month update… Whoops. This month has been so busy with lots of work, adventures and soaking in time with my two littles. We experienced another historic event with the snowpocalypse, June hit milestone after milestone, and we still love our smiley little girl with all our hearts.
As I’ve ramped up my sewing business, The Threaded Bee, June has become quite the model. With her chunky thighs, cheesy grin and big cheeks, I melt every time I take pictures of her.
We got to see Cousin Wyatt, Aunt Sass and Uncle Jarrett for breakfast one Sunday morning. It was a quick visit, but so fun catching up with them for a bit. Plus who doesn’t love any excuse to go to First Watch?
We had some warmer days this month, and we took advantage of them! I love the park that’s just one house down from ours because James can play while June and I soak in some fresh air.
June officially started eating soft solids this month and it’s been fun watching her explore all the new tastes and textures. So far she has tried avocado, banana, carrots, green beans (her favorite) and blueberries. While it’s messy, I love this new stage so much!
Our sweet friend (and June’s future husband), Miles turned a year old and we celebrated with a little photoshoot. You can tell Miles has some serious game ;) I love that they get to grow up together!
And the big event of the month: the snowpocalypse! While we never lost water or power, it was still quite the adventure. Our heater did not like the super low temps, and we definitely spent most of the week snuggled under blankets. We watched a ton of TV (not gonna lie, we had an epic Marvel marathon), played together, ate soup every day, froze our noses off outside, and slept in every morning. June was not a fan of the cold (I feel ya sister), but we still got some fun pictures in the snow.
During the snowpocalypse, Junie celebrated her first Valentine’s Day! With those big blue eyes and rosy cheeks, she’s gonna be a heartbreaker someday.
As for milestones, June decided that rolling around wasn’t for her so she began the process of learning how to crawl. Sister was a planking machine, and it was so funny looking over to see a chubby little baby just planking away! She’s still babbling, says “dadadada” all the time, smiles SO big when Isaac gets home from work, and is just the sweetest baby.
Sleep is still a guessing game with June. Some nights she wakes once, and others she’s up every 3 hours. Thankfully her naps are pretty good now, so she’s still getting sleep during the day. I have to say though… June is such a happy baby that even when she’s sleepy, she’s still so good natured, which is a huge praise!
Overall this month just flew by (like they all do), but my goodness every day I thank the Lord that I get to be June’s mama. What an undeserved gift!
