HEY THERE!
Yesterday Junie girl turned ten months old, so I guess it’s time to get to writing her nine month update! My goodness sister has been a crazy energizer bunny lately. She is always on the go, crawling around everywhere, getting in to things, playing with big brother’s toys, and smiling pretty much t he entire time. She’s giving me a run for my month (James was not this devious), but I love my spunky little girl oh so much!
I know I’m biased, but goodness Junie girl is so cute! I love her little grin (and the tooth you can see if you look reallllyyy close), bright blue eyes and squishy cheeks! She still loves sticking her tongue out and it kills me every time.
James and June have been playing together a lot more lately (which James enjoys until she goes after his toys…), and I love it! They have such a sweet relationship and it’s so fun watching it grow as she gets older and interacts more with him. They get into trouble together, and I know this is just the beginning of their crazy sibling adventures.
This month we visited two tulip farms with friends and it was so much fun! I loved getting to enjoy some beautiful sunshine with sweet friends, and watching James romp around in the flowers. Plus if you know me, you know how much I love flowers, so I was in heaven!
We headed to the bluebonnet patch for some family pictures with my sister. It was crazy, and trying to get two kids, a dog and a husband to pose and look at the camera while also in the picture is not for the faint of heart! But I am so thankful for these pictures (and Rachel for taking them).
Junie celebrated her first Easter with us! We don’t do anything crazy for Easter, because we don’t want to take away from the importance and meaning of the day – Jesus died and atoned for our sins, defeated death and rose after three days. What a miracle!
I set aside a Saturday in April to spend with the family, and I am so so glad I did. We had such an amazing day going to the Dallas Farmers Market and the Arboretum. I kept telling Isaac over and over again how fun it was and how much I needed it!
This month June began testing her limits, and it’s given us a run for our money! She is always on the go, and is a VERY fast crawler. She loves going straight for open doors or gates she knows she shouldn’t go through (especially if it means splashing in Lillie’s water bowl or playing in the bathroom). Thankfully she’s super giggly when we catch her and begins the game again the minute she’s set down.
Sister still prefers milk over any other food, and most of her food ends up in her lap or in Lillie’s belly, but I don’t mind. She’s still exploring and learning how to eat, and I know the majority of her nutrition needs to come from milkies, so any food she does eat is just icing on the cake. She definitely loves fruit and avocados, and will not touch eggs!
June started babbling and cooing more this month and I love it! I’ve caught her “singing” to herself, and she’s actually joined me a couple of times as I rocked her to sleep. It’s a-dor-a-ble!
Sleep is still a little iffy, and we have our bad nights and days every once in a while, but for the most part June is napping twice a day for about 1-2 hours each nap, and waking up only once during the night. Honestly, I’ll take it! I’m just glad she’s so happy during the day that even after a hard night, it’s not totally miserable for any of us.
And today she’s ten months old, so I guess it’s time to work on her next update. Maybe this time I can get it finished in a more timely manner! ;)
