HEY THERE!
I know I’m biased, but I don’t think I’ve ever met as cute a four year old as Junie. She has the biggest babydoll eyes, a scrunchy nose smile, and a larger than life personality. She’s always been very animated, and I’ve loved watching that blossom over the past year. Between singing songs to herself, cutting a rug in the living room, talking to baby Fran (her voice goes up 3 octaves) and telling stories, she makes everything fun and dramatic.
Seeing her interact with Frances has been the sweetest thing. June is at the age where she understands what a baby is and can help out a ton. She’s always ready to give Fran a toy, move her to a “safe spot”, check on her when she wakes up, sing her songs, and celebrate every milestone she reaches. I love watching them interact with each other, and I know Frances is going to grow up adoring her big (big) sister.
This year June has been all about anything pink, princess and sparkly. She loves dressing up, putting on her fake makeup, twirling around in her dresses and playing pretend with James. She and James are the best of friends, and it’s fun seeing their different personalities and interest mesh together.
She is starting prek with me, and is SO excited. After watching James do homeschool with me last year, she’s been chomping at the bit to do it too. I know June is going to love every second of it, and I’m looking forward to seeing her learn and grow over the upcoming months.
Some of my favorite Junie things:
How she talks to her baby Frances Anne in the most high pitched voice
When she says “can I hold you”
The way she uses the “fl” sound when talking – fleeping (sleeping), flay (play), flean (clean)
How she’s always up for a snuggle, and would stay in your arms all day if you let her
Her “jokes”… which aren’t even close to being considered a joke
When she asks to cook with me, and truly loves learning in the kitchen
How much she adores her dada
How she STILL always has a tear ready to fall at a moment’s notice
The way she acts like a mama duck to James and Ellie, even when they don’t want to listen to her
Her catchy, made up songs like “Waddle waddle, quack quack quack”
Junie’s signature hair flick – iykyk
Junie bug is such a bright light in our family, and I am thankful every day that the Lord gave her to us. We love you, sweet girl!
