As June would say, holy moly roly poly.
I can’t believe my baby girl is THREE – where did time go? It feels like just yesterday and also forever ago that we welcomed our second child to the family on our fifth anniversary. Ever since that day she has been giving us a run for our money with her spunk, absolute adorableness, and big blue eyes.
Junie is such a joy to have in our family. She is so funny (and knows it), strong willed, outspoken and full of personality. It’s never a dull day when she’s skipping around the house or pushing her Froggy in the stroller. Even though a big personality comes with very big feelings, she’s just so gosh darn cute that you can’t stay upset with her for very long.
This year she has grown and changed so much. I love how I’ve gotten to see more and more of who she is as she’s figured out her own interests and preferences (outside of James’s big brother influences). She’s all girl, that’s for sure! June loves twirly princess dresses, getting her nails painted, wearing “makeup” (aka lipgloss), her best pal Froggy, playing with her baby dolls and being James’s sidekick. The are practically inseparable!
Lately she’s been obsessed with taking pictures. She loves playing with her fake “phones”, making you pose, and then “showing” you the picture on her “screen”. It’s hilarious, but she’s dead serious and you BETTER look at the picture and say something about it. So naturally for her birthday, Gigi got her a camera and it’s been a hit! The photographer in me melted when she started posing people then saying “okay, now one more picture”. Apparently someone listens to me when I’m working!
Some of her most used phrases are:
“me sit in your waaap?” (lap)
“we have dat at my house”
“I’m a HAPPY ‘NOWMAN” (snowman)
“dat’s my pay-bret” (favorite)
“my blanket’s broken” (which means it fell off her while she was sleeping…)
“I forgot” (specifically referring to “forgetting” how to eat and making us hand feed her)
and her most popular one: “whyyyyy”
We love our sweet, spunky girl so much, and I have loved watching her grow into our little Princess June. I cannot and do not want to imagine life without her.
