HEY THERE!
I didn’t think I’d actually have time to get this month’s update written, but by a Christmas miracle here we are a mere 15 days after Fran turned 9 months old. This month has been full of the sweetest memories, lots of traveling, the start of the holiday season and all the craziness that comes with it.
I love this time of year, and experiencing it with all the kids makes it even more special. Frances just keeps getting sweeter and more fun with each passing month. She squeals with excitement when the big kids come in her room, loves it when Dada gets home from work, still does her silent gaspy laugh (which I love) and brings so much joy to our family.
This was a month full of firsts for Frances. One of them was her first fever, which was absolutely pathetic. She was obviously miserable, and let me rock her to sleep for the first time in months. I soaked in those snuggles, for sure!
She also went through her 9 month sleep regression over Thanksgiving weekend which was not super fun for anyone. After a rough couple of weeks she started sleeping through the night again and we got our happy little Frances back.
She has been working on her top two teeth for a while now, and hopefully they pop through soon. Sweet girl is a drooling mess and she gnaws on EVERYTHING. My goodness!
Fran has started to slowly furniture surf, and I know she’ll be walking before we know it. She loves pulling up to standing and finding all the things she can get into. In the meantime, she’s a crawling machine and has gotten quite fast at it. I’m constantly chasing her all over the house, pulling things out of her mouth and making sure she doesn’t chew on power cords.
We did lots of traveling this month, and she was a trooper through it all. Our first trip was to Beaver’s Bend with some sweet friends from church. It was THE perfect trip, and I thoroughly enjoyed our time up there. The kids played so well together, the weather was beautiful, and it was a much needed rest for everyone.
We then began our crazy Thanksgiving weekend of traveling. It started in Bonham where we did our annual Campbell Family Turkey Trot, decorated my mom’s tree and had Thanksgiving dinners with both sides of the family. We then headed down to Johnson City in the hill country with my family to see their lighting of the courthouse. I always love this weekend, full of family time, catching up, shopping and the start of the holiday season.
The rest of the month was full of playdates, adventures and A LOT of photoshoots on my part. It’s been such a fun month, and I just love seeing our little Frances Anne grow into the cutest little girl.
