HEY THERE!
My sweet Frances Anne is ten months old, and I am not okay with it! I hate how quickly time seems to be flying by. She is such a big girl now, and I can hardly believe it’s almost time to start planning her first birthday. Fran is such a sweetheart, and has the biggest and happiest personality. I know she’s going to give us a run for our money someday (that girl can be dramatic), but she’s also tough, easy going, goofy and quite the talker. I just love our little Frannie girl.
Fran has popped out two new teeth, bringing her grand total to four. After a ton of drool and gnawing on everything within reach, once they finally broke through she was so happy! She kept sticking her tongue out and rubbing her teeth with it. It was so funny!
For Christmas, Frances got a walker and that girl loves it! She goes so fast on that thing, and I know she’ll be actually walking before we know it. I’ve seen her balance on her own quite a few times, and I love seeing all the big kids cheering her on.
She’s still a great sleeper, and I am so thankful for that! I’m finally able to get extended periods of sleep at night, and my body (and mind) is soaking it in. Fran is nursing only twice a day now, and we’re on track to have her weaned by a year old. It’s sooner than I wanted to wean, but Isaac and I are going out of town the weekend after her birthday and I don’t want to worry about pumping while we’re gone. It’s almost the end of an era (for now lol).
This month I honestly didn’t take that many pictures or do that many things with the kids. My primary goal was to survive. I had SO much work to do, on top of making gifts and getting everything ready for Christmas, so most days were spent working. However there were some moments that were so special and worth mentioning!
One of my favorite things we did this month was go to downtown Grapevine the Monday before Christmas. It was so fun (albeit very crowded) and I loved watching the kids have the best time. Honestly any time spent together as a family is my favorite, but throw Christmas in there and it’s like the cherry on top.
Isaac was home Christmas Eve and Day, and we enjoyed every minute of it. We decorated cookies, watched movies, worked on our Christmas puzzle, baked, played with new toys and just had fun together. It was the best couple of days, for sure!
We celebrated three Christmases this year, which was actually quite fun! For the first time in almost 10 years of marriage, Isaac and I enjoyed Christmas day at our own home. I loved it, especially because our parents were able to join us for dinner! The other two Christmases were celebrated the weekend before and after the actual day, which meant we got to extend the festivities even longer. I just love this time of the year and the kids really do too.
The cousins had a blast together, and I look forward to watching them all grow up together. They are just the cutest!
And goodness, now here we are… a new year, an almost 1 year old and so many adventures in store for us in the upcoming months. Here’s to the last hurrah of your first year, Frances!
