HEY THERE!
Something I love about being a part of the blogging world is connecting with other bloggers. I enjoy being a part of a community of like-minded people who show one another support and collaborate with each other. In this time I have come across some amazing blogs. Ones with gorgeous pictures. Some with useful fitness and healthy living tips. Others with mouth-watering recipes. And a few that are full of encouragement and inspiration. It’s been such a fun past few months getting to know new bloggers, finding bigger and better ideas for my blog and helping each other in their blogging journey. So today I decided to share some of the love. I have put together a list of five recipes I want to try this summer from blogs I have recently discovered and loved. Please feel free to check them out and share share share!
Doesn’t this look absolutely delicious? This recipe is from Whole Food Bellies (the same place I got my recipe for that delicious crock pot chicken I talked about!). The woman behind the blog, Donna, is so funny and her recipes all look so good. I also love that she focuses on recipes that are healthy and full of whole foods that make my belly happy. This recipe has fresh blueberries (which are almost in season- yay!!), dried fruits, quinoa and lots of other yummy stuff. I can’t wait to make this for breakfast soon.
The minute I came across this recipe I knew I needed to try it. It’s a mouth-watering mixture of two of my favorite things- coffee and smoothie bowls. It’s full of healthy and delicious ingredients, protein to keep you full and (best of all) lots of coffee. I love Kiip Fit! The blogger, Gunjan, shares recipes and tips about living a healthy life. She lost 65 pounds by eating healthier foods and getting active, and all of her recipes are low-calorie, have a high nutritional value and use healthy ingredients that you’ll love!
During the summer months, I love using fresh berries in my recipes. They are at their peak of ripeness, super sweet and affordable. I am planning on having some friends over and making these mascarpone tarts soon… I feel like they are perfect for dinner parties! They are so pretty, have a yummy sounding lemon shortbread dough, and a mascarpone cheese, lemon and berry filling. Doesn’t that sound amazing? This recipe comes from The Organic Kitchen, which is one of my favorite recipe blogs now. It features healthy recipes that use wholesome ingredients and y’all- it all looks delicious!
I try to eat a different type of seafood every week, and one of my favorites is salmon. I’m always looking for a different way to cook it, and I think I’ve found my next recipe to try! This Honey Garlic Salmon is such a simple recipe to make (which I’m all about), and so full of flavor. This recipe is from the blog called Onion Rings and Things, which is run by Lalaine, who is a food service director that loves to develop and share delicious recipes. I love that she has a mixture of healthy and indulgent recipes on her blog, and let me tell you… I could eat it all!
I think this picture pretty much speaks for itself. What is there not to like about sweet potatoes (which I am obsessed with right now), avocado, a fried egg, and fresh apple radish slaw? I’m planning on making this recipe sometime next week for dinner, and I. Can’t. Wait. Madeline Marie is run by a Texas girl (what what!) who now lives in NYC and shares recipes that are healthy and use seasonal ingredients- right up my alley! I also love how clean and beautiful her blog is. I could spend days browsing her recipes and admiring her photography skills.
