HEY THERE!
Guys… It’s seriously pathetic how excited I am that it’s officially FALL! Every year, around the second week of July I decide I am over the summer and ready for some cooler weather. Unfortunately, here in Texas that day is too far away for my liking. Thankfully it looks like somewhat cooler temperatures are in the forecast (and by cooler I mean below 90…), so maybe I can begin enjoying being outside again! Fall is my favorite season of the year, not just because it brings so many warm memories to mind, but also because I am your typical white girl. I cannot wait till I can wear my riding boots, a huge scarf, lots of flannel and drink my PSL. In fact my father and brother love making fun of me every time they see a PSL ad, but hey, what can I say? It’s delicious, and I am not afraid to admit that. I am also obsessed with all things pumpkin, and my fall decorations can attest to that! So since I love this season so much, I decided to do a roundup of my fall favorites from Pinterest. From decorations to food to clothes, I’ve gathered together everything that I love about fall.
Scarves: This is by far my favorite fall/winter accessory. I love wearing scarves with tunic shirts, dresses and cozy cardigans. If you were to ask my husband, he would say I own way too many, but I’m still in denial. I can’t wait to dig out my big flannel blanket scarves… Those things are huge, but perfect for keeping me warm.
Boots: In previous years, I have been all about the riding boots, but last year I decided to finally try out booties, and they are my new favorite thing. I love pairing them with cute jeans or a dress (which is the perfect transitional outfit to cooler weather!). My favorite booties are some maroon ones I got last year and tan suede ones that go with practically everything.
Dresses: Y’all, I adore dresses. I love that they are nice and flowy, and that they go perfectly with leggings and boots. Talk about a cute comfort outfit! This year I am loving the olive green and cranberry red colors, and my wardrobe can attest to that.
Flannel: I know this screams “country”, but I think everyone needs a good flannel shirt. They are great for layering, and I always bring one when I go camping to keep me warm in the cool evenings. Pair it with a fun scarf and cardigan, and I’m good to go.
Cozy Cardigan: When I was younger and thought “cardigan”, I thought of the little white sweaters I used to wear to church, or the outdated ones I always saw on my teachers. However, over time I have come to see the light. They are so great for adding a layer of warmth (can you tell I’m all about layering?), and these cozy ones make me even more ready for fall weather to arrive!
Let’s just let these pictures speak for themselves! Click on the picture for the recipe.
Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Cinnamon Butternut Squash, Pecans, and Cranberries from Juliasalbum.com
Chicken, Wild Rice & Mushroom Soup from Simplystacie.net
Maple Butternut Squash and Chicken Pasta with Kale from Forkknifeswoon.com
Autumn Minestrone Soup from Cookingclassy.com
Creamy Butternut Squash Alfredo Pasta from Joyfulhealthyeats.com
When I decorate, I try going for a more rustic look. I’m all about wood, burlap and pumpkins, and these ideas I found on Pinterest just scream fall to me. Talk about some major inspiration for decorating! I love how bright, cheerful and cozy these decorations make the space feel.

I love everything about this post! The food and the clothes! Your style is super cute and makes me excited for Fall!
Aww thank you girl! It actually felt like fall yesterday and I got SO excited.
SO cute! Fall is my absolute favorite too. I love the clothes, scarves, boots… everything!
MINE TOO! I am counting down the days till I can actually wear those things without breaking into a sweat sitting in the AC. ;)
Ok, I feel like we’re soul sisters cause all of this is so me! Love all your picks clothes-wise, food-wise and all the cute decorations! Awesome!
Yayy!! That makes me smile :)
What a perfect Fall post!
Great favorites!!!
Thank you Michelle!
I am loving everything about this post. I especially love the booties in the center photo! And the food looks incredible!! Awesome post.
ME TOO. I need to find them.
I love everything! Wild rice soup is probably my favorite soup of all time. That one looks really good. I am so excited to break my tall boots out. Although I might have to wait a little longer…it’s nearly 90 as I type this & it’s not even noon.
Ohh yes! I LOVE wild rice soup. It has such a yummy nutty flavor that reminds me of fall. And I totally get you… Yesterday was the first day under 80 that we’ve had in a LONG time, and next week it’s back in the 90s again. #makeupyourmindTexas
Drool! I LOVE those boots. They are my fall weakness. Beautiful picks :)
Me toooo!! I love boots, and can’t wait to start wearing them again!
oh my gosh. OBVIOUSLY fall is the absolute best ever. I DIE for ankle boots. Seriously. Can’t wait until we move out to Colorado and I get to experience REAL fall!!!!!
GIRL YOU’RE MOVING TO COLORADO?! That’s like my unfulfilled life dream. My husband tells me I’d hate it because of all the snow, but right now, anywhere sounds better than Texas. I’m OVER the heat.
Yum! Your food choices have me drooling. I can’t wait to be able to wear snuggly sweaters and scarves too. I need a new pair of booties right away.
I live for cooler weather!! Cozy, comfy and cute are three of my favorite things.
Yes! I love all of those scarves — I live in Florida and it is still so incredibly hot here but I will make those work!
I’m right there with you. It has been incredibly warm lately in Texas and I am reaaadyyyy for some cooler temps. And you betcha I’m rockin’ a scarf today regardless of how hot it’s gonna be haha!
I’m not a huge fan of fall (only because I know that winter is coming). But after making a fall bucket list and reading your post, I must say I am looking forward to it! Some of the things on my list are drinking a ton of Chai Tea, Hiking, Apples with Caramel, Simmering Cinnamon and Cloves, attending Oktoberfest, etc.
I totally understand! Winter is definitely not my favorite, and luckily it’s usually pretty mild here in Texas. I love it because it means summer is over! I am working on a fall bucket list, and I have a lot of the same things too. :)
I’m all about blanket scarves for fall :) I can’t believe it’s already fall though!
ME TOO. #blanketscarveseveryday
I love Fall!!! It is still in the 90’s here in TX. So Fall is not quite here. I hope it gets here soon. I love blanket scarfs, sweaters, boots and everything in between when it comes to Fall. Great picks!!
Ahh I know I know. Yesterday was FANTASTIC, and only got up to about 75. When we went out to recess, all the kids asked if we were sure we could be out. They were convinced it was too cold haha.
Agreed! I’m on the boogie train this year too!!!
Yes! Booties are my favorite. :)
I love all of your fall favorites! Scarves, boots, flannel and cardigans make me happy! Plus there’s something about fall decorations that is just so cozy!
I know! Fall is such a fun, cozy month for me. The perfect mix of summer and winter!
I love those booties! Where to get them? College football too!
I just checked the pin on Pinterest and these are the links that worked:

BUT I know for a fact that Target has some pretty darn cute ones for a fraction of the cost of those!
I love all of the boots! So ready to wear them!
ME TOO. I can’t wait to pull mine out of storage!
