HEY THERE!
A week ago our sweet Ellie Sue turned two months old! This month held lots of fun adventures, including her first plane ride to visit our dear friends in Oregon. I love getting to watch her develop the cutest personality. Ellie is smiling and cooing now, and loves it when we talk to her. She is getting SO big (someone loves her milkies) and has made this transition to three kids much easier than I thought it would be. Thank the Lord for that!
Ellie is around 13.5 lbs, and a champ at nursing (obviously). She’s in size 2 diapers now, in between 0-3m and 3-6m size clothing. She’s still my biggest baby and I just loooove squeezing her thighs and kissing her chubby cheeks.
This month Ellie experienced her first Threaded Bee photoshoot, and did SO good. I am ready for fall so she can wear all those cute clothes!
We’ve gone on more walks and trips to the park the past few weeks, and she’s slowly enjoyed the stroller more. Those first couple of walks were not very fun for anyone!
We had a blast celebrating James’s birthday with a train ride in Fort Worth on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Ellie did great, and we all had a fun time making memories as a family.
Ellie is still absolutely smothered with love by her big siblings. They both adore her, and spend most of their day talking to her or asking where she is when she’s napping. It’s adorable!
This month we got to visit my brother’s family and meet the newest cousin! Ellie and Emmy are only 3 weeks apart, and I love that they’ll get to grow up so close in age. Ellie is about twice the size of Emerson, which was pretty funny to see in person. We had such a great trip, and we all loved getting to catch up with each other.
It was a sad day when we said “see you later” to our midwife Danielle. She is such a light in our lives, and I already miss her so much. We decided I just have to keep having babies so we can see each other all the time. ;)
One of my favorite things about Ellie is how much she loves being carried. I love getting to wear her in a sling or SSC, because I get all those sweet snuggles without killing my arms. Sister is heavyyyy.
Our big adventure this month was flying to Oregon to visit one of my best friends, Brooke. We traveled with Emily (my pretend *nanny*), and had the best girls trip! Ellie wasn’t a big fan of the long days of travel and multiple airplane rides, but overall she did amazing. She turned two months old on our last full day in Oregon, which was such a special way to celebrate.
Here’s to more squishy hugs and chunky thighs! We love you Ellie Sue.
