HEY THERE!
A week ago, our sweet Ellie Sue turned three months old! I can’t believe she’s so old already, but at the same time it feels like she’s always been here. She has been the perfect addition to our little family, and we love her oh so much. This month has been busy as my photography business has ramped back up again for the fall, so most of the time has been spent just doing our everyday routines amid photoshoots and editing.
Her most recent leap was not fun at all, but all in all Ellie has been such an amazing baby! She is so sweet, a good sleeper and the happiest baby. And it’s quite impossible to not give her thighs and cheeks a good squeeze every once in a while. She’s such a scrumptiously chunky baby!
Even though life has been so busy, we still were able to get away for a long weekend in Oklahoma with Isaac’s family. It was such a fun time, and we made so many amazing memories. We went to a petting zoo, rode a tiny little train through the woods, roasted marshmallows, slept in and enjoyed the fresh air.
October means pumpkins, and we go all out in this family! I love visiting pumpkin patches with the kids, and James likes that everyone has so many pumpkin outfits to coordinate together. I’m here for all things fall, especially after the hot summer we just had!
This month brought some milestones for Ellie! For about a week or so she slept through the night, which was very much appreciated by everyone! She’s now back to waking up once in the middle of the night and again around 6/6:30, but I’ll take it.
Ellie also started rolling over! She’s gone from her belly to her back a few times, and is still working on rolling from her back to her belly. She laughed for the first time this week, and she looooves to smile and coo anytime someone pays attention to her. Which is pretty much all the time, especially when you have two big siblings who adore you.
While I’m not sure how much Ellie weighs, she is definitely still our little chunky monkey. She’s in 3-6m clothing, and has the squishiest legs! She’s hard to carry for long periods of time, so I for one am thankful she’s liking the stroller more. My back needs the break!
Like I said earlier, it was a pretty chill month, but full of all those small mundane moments I forget to record. Lots of snuggles, late night nursing sessions, sleepy smiles, and precious moments that I cherish. Babies don’t keep, and I’m doing my best to soak this all in while I can.
