HEY THERE!
What a month! We’ve had quite the fun, sick and crazy-weather month with our sweet Eleanor Sue. She is getting so big and full of personality. Ellie loves to be anywhere her big siblings are, and has a blast getting into everything. Her current favorite things to do are go after Lillie’s food and water bowls (what baby doesn’t love splashing in the water?), and crawling around all over the house.
This was a pretty chill month, between sickness hitting the house, an ice storm and a slower pace of living due to the winter. Honestly, I enjoyed slowing down and soaking in time with the family. Even though I was sick for two of those weeks and I’m still trying to get my energy back up, I was so thankful for those slow, sweet moments with my favorite people.
We’ve had some fun moments with the kids, like going on a little walk and adventure date with Daddy on his day off. James and I also introduced the girls to Star Wars Episode IV and it was a hit! The perfect movie for a lazy night in.
We got an extra week of Daddy being home due to an ice storm that hit North Texas. Even though I was sick for most of it, we all enjoyed the coziness, the big kids loved playing outside, and Ellie soaked in all her snuggles with Dada.
Ellie is BUSY. Sister loves to move. She’s all over the place, into everything, trying to pull up, rocking on all fours, army crawling constantly, and having the best time of her life. She babbles when she feels like it, and laughs at all the fun antics of her siblings.
Sickness hit our little Eleanor this month, which thankfully wasn’t too bad, but she still really wanted lots of mama snuggles. I have tried to be more intentional lately to soak in all the sweet baby moments, because she is just growing up wayyyy too fast.
Is any month complete with out some Ellie squishes?? She’s the best.
Ellie is around 18 lbs based on our home scale, and wearing 9-12m clothing. Which is so crazy to me, because that’s what June was wearing when she was around 18 months old! Ellie just wants to share clothes with June rather than get hand-me-downs haha!
My little sunshine baby has been doing SO WELL with sleep. She is officially weaned from her night feed, and actually sleeps better than James and June are right now. Ellie is taking 2-3 naps a day, and just the very best sleeper.
Ellie has been loving all the food she’s had this month! So far, she’s had avocado, eggs, berries, waffles, sweet potato, banana, and more. At this moment she’s only eating dinner with us, but soon we’ll add in other meals as well.
One of my favorite moments from this month was when we go to go to shoot a birth with my sweet midwife. It’s crazy to think that we were in that newborn stage just seven months ago.
This month ended with a bang when we hosted our first Valentine’s Day playdate. It was fun seeing our sweet friends and making new ones. I mean, does it get much better than lots of yummy food, playing with all the toys and a cute handmade backdrop? I didn’t think so ;)
Even though Valentine’s Day was the day after she turned 7 months old, here is her vday pic. Why is Ellie so CUUUTEEE.
As we like to tell her every day, we love you soooo much Ellie Sue!
