HEY THERE!
I was prepared for time to go by fast now that we have three kids, but I didn’t expect it to fly by like it did. I still can’t believe that on Saturday Ellie turned one month old. It feels like just yesterday she was making her grand entrance into the world, but also like she’s been here forever. If you’re a parent, you know what I mean! Ellie has fit in perfectly with our family, and I am so thankful she puts up with her crazy siblings as well as she does.
This month has been full of firsts for her, from going to church and the splash pad to meeting so many loved ones. It’s been busy, but I’ve also tried to take moments to just sit and soak her in. She has changed a ton already, and it makes me sad to see my sweet newborn baby looking so different in just a few short weeks. She is chunking up fast, loves staring into my eyes, and is a huge fan of all the sling snuggles.
I am so thankful for our little sunshine baby!
Ellie sure loves her milk! She’s over 11 lbs now, wearing a size 1 diaper (since about a week old haha), and has outgrown most of her newborn clothing. She likes to cluster feed in the evenings, but gives me 4-5 hour long stretches at night, so I’ll take it!
Sister is absolutely fawned over by her siblings. June and James spend half their day looking at her, talking about her and asking about her. It’s absolutely precious, and I hope they continue to love each other this much as the years go by.
She went on lots of fun outings this month, like to the chiropractor, the splash pad, the library and church.
I have loved dressing her up in all the cute clothes I made for her, and seeing her in outfits Junie wore as a baby. My mom emotions can barely handle it most days.
This month held birthday celebrations for both big siblings! June turned two and James celebrated his fourth birthday a few days early at the farm. I love that all the kids have birthdays within almost a month of each other. It’s so fun and it makes the summer full of celebrations and getting together with family.
I couldn’t think of a better way to end Ellie’s first month of life than her first trip to the farm. We all love it out there, and I know it will be just a matter of time before Ellie is off riding the tractor, fishing and counting cows with June and James.
One of my favorite moments from this month was taking newborn pictures with Tricia. She has captured so many special moments of my family, and I absolutely love how they turned out. All three kids did amazing and it was definitely one of the easiest photoshoots we’ve ever done. I know we will cherish these photos for years and years!
Happy one month of life, sweet Eleanor Sue!
