I don’t know if y’all have noticed yet or not, but summer is almost here! It looks like we are hanging out in the upper 80s and lower 90s right now, and the Texas humidity has arrived in full force. So you better believe that most days you’ll find me with my hair up, the sandals on, and the winter blues far from my mind. This time of year is one of my favorites, because there’s the excitement of summer just around the corner, and it hasn’t gotten deathly hot yet! I am soaking in the sunshine during recess, and looking forward to a change of pace once summer school starts. And, naturally, I am chugging water and every cold drink I can find as the weather has warmed up!
And that’s where this week’s recipe comes into play. During the summer months, I love whipping together some refreshing smoothies and drinks to cool down, hydrate and get the little jolt of energy I need throughout the day. I always keep some frozen fruit on hand, protein powder stocked up in the pantry, and my favorite almond/coconut milk or coffee ready to make a smoothie when the mood hits. Which, during the summer, happens quite frequently!
Today’s smoothie is a go-to drink to make in the morning after a workout, or in the afternoons when I want something to cool down from the heat outside. This refreshing coffee smoothie is also the perfect drink to sip on your way to work, when you’re lounging by the pool, or when you need a little something to beat those afternoon zzz’s. It’s made with black coffee, frozen bananas, ice, protein powder, and the key ingredient: Dunkin’ Donuts® Coffee Creamer.
I don’t always use creamer, but when I do, I love reaching for some Dunkin’ Donuts®! I love that you can add some delicious flavors to your morning cup ‘o Joe with just a dash of creamer, and it’s the best way to make the perfect cup of coffee. I also love that the creamer is made with real sugar (none of that artificial stuff for me!), and the flavors are amazing! It’s such a great way to enjoy a little treat in the morning, and it brings my coffee smoothie to a whole ‘nother level.
You can find this creamer in the dairy section at Walmart, right next to the milk. My favorite flavors for the coffee smoothie are the Dunkin’ Donuts® Vanilla Creamer and Dunkin’ Donuts® Caramel Creamer, because they add a delicious flavor that I love!
And, best of all, you can get a 75 cent rebate with this Ibotta offer.

Oh man, why did I have to see this at 10pm at night?! Seriously looks delicious!
That looks so yummy! I love a twist on a smoothie and adding coffee has to be amazing.
Obsessed with this, protein and coffee all in one! Can’t wait to give it a try :)
What protein powder do you like? Never had that before. And you just freeze a banana?
I love drinking iced coffee but I don’t usually blend it up… I think I want to start doing that, though. #client
