HEY THERE!
Gift giving is one of my love languages. I find so much joy in picking out things I know the recipient will love, and I’ll take any excuse to go shopping! Normally I bake something or make a painting (check out my Etsy shop!), but sometimes I like doing something a little different. I have so much fun making gift baskets for people, because I can fill it with all kinds of goodies. They are perfect for any occasion, and completely customizable. You just can’t go wrong with a gift basket!
This one I made for one of my best friends after she graduated college and passed her GRE, which is definitely cause for celebration! I called it a “Basket Full of Sunshine”, because I wanted to brighten her day with food, candy and other trinkets I knew she would love. I got everything in yellow and orange shades and filled the bottom with yellow tissue paper. The basket had:
Like I said, gift baskets can be completely customizable, which is what I love the most about them. When I go on trips to places, I like to pick up some local goodies and make baskets to give as presents for Christmas. For one of my friends’ birthdays I made a pedicure basket with nail polish, a nail file and sugar scrub. For finals week, I made Isaac a basket full of his favorite candy and chips. And a few weeks ago I made a basket full of muffins, wrapped in some super cute kitchen towels, that I gave as a welcome home basket to some friends after a mission trip. Y’all… the sky’s the limit when it comes to gift baskets, and they are so fun to make! Best of all, you don’t have to go all out and crazy with them. Sometimes the simplest gifts mean the most.
