HEY THERE!
I’m officially decorated for fall! I’m actually surprised I waited so long to decorate… Normally my fall stuff is up the beginning of September, but with my cRaZy schedule, it’s obviously taken me a little longer than normal. I’m glad I made the time to get my things out and put up, because my apartment feels so cozy now! With my decorations up, my wreath hung on the front door, and my favorite fall candles burning, It’s finally starting to feel like fall. Now the Texas weather just has to get on board and we’ll be golden. ;)
I absolutely LOVE decorating, and if I had all the money, time (and motivation…) in the world, I’d be constantly decorating and redecorating my apartment. However, as life would have it, I don’t have any of those, so I’m left with decorating when the seasons change, and slowly accumulating decorations at the end of every season. #thankyouHobbyLobby I don’t have much when it comes to decorations, but I feel like sometimes less is more (at least that’s what I keep telling myself haha!), and I love how the decor doesn’t scream “fall”, but flows well with the rest of the apartment decor.
So in case you’re like me and are taking a little longer to get your fall decor out, or if you’re looking for some fun ideas for your place, I gotchu girl! Like I said, what I did isn’t a lot, but I love the little touches here and there that make it special. Last year I hit up Hobby Lobby right before Thanksgiving to score some awesome deals on fall decor, and it was fun pulling it out of storage this year, because I felt like I’d just gone shopping. ;) I’ll probably do the same again this year, because you can get SO much more bang for your buck. Totally worth it, y’all!
Today I’m sharing five fall decor ideas that will make decorating easy and stress free!
One of my best friends, Brooke, recently started an Etsy shop, and I absolutely love everything she makes. If you’re anything like me and love some cute tea towels, napkins and banners, you should check out her shop! Brooke makes some SUPER adorable stuff that’s perfect for bringing a special touch to your home (and who else is thinking these are great for Christmas presents?).
Check her out, y’all! You’ll not only be supporting an amazing woman, but helping her stay home to raise her sweet baby girl.
So naturally when I started decorating for fall, I knew I needed a little piece of Let’s Gather Studios in my home. I asked Brooke about making a banner, and she made me this one that is absolutely perfect! It’s crazy how much a cute little banner can bring to an area. I LOVE how it fills up the big empty space above our TV, and it’s beautiful in the simplicity of it. Also, how ’bout that pumpkin fabric on the ends? *cue heart eyes*
Next on my wish list is one of her adorable tea towels! :D
In case you missed it, I posted the tutorial for my new fall wreath a week ago, and it is definitely one of my favorite wreaths to date. I love how different it is from a typical fall wreath, and the flowers are SO pretty. I’m really digging how it looks on my front door!
I decided to hang my wreath from last year above my bed for a little snippet of fall in my room. I absolutely adore the look, and it really ties everything together. It’s SUCH an easy way to decorate, and I know it will be so fun to switch out wreaths as the seasons change.
In case you hadn’t realized by now… I am a little obsessed with wreaths. ;)
I bought this centerpiece at Magnolia this past spring, and it’s been the perfect addition to our dining room table! I normally have some flowers I bought while at Magnolia in the vases, but decided to change them out with some of my fall florals. I’m all about making decorating easy for me, and having something like this centerpiece is right up my alley. All you need to do is change out the flowers and you’re done. Easy peasy!
As mentioned above, I am a HUGE fan of switching out my florals. It’s a simple way to change things up, and if your vases (or Topo Chico bottles and Mason jars in my case!) are neutral colors, all you have to do is replace the flowers as you see fit. Pretty sweet, huh? I also love using real flowers on occasion, to bring a fresh touch to the decor, and to bring something a little different to the space.
I LOVE garlands, because they make decorating a piece of cake. One simple garland can totally transform a space, and you better believe I have one for almost every season! When buying a garland, look for coupons, special deals and discounts so you don’t have to pay as much, because they can get pricey fast. You can also buy a cheaper one and spruce it up with other flowers, etc to save a little money and still have a ROCKIN’ garland! Mine is from Hobby Lobby (of course) and I got it on sale at the end of the season a few years ago. It’s held up super well, and I love finding new places to drape it for an extra touch of “fall”.
And there you have it! Five easy fall decor ideas to make decorating a piece of cake. :)
